Charlotte Event Thoughts - Sorry if this was supposed to be for a review on a T-shirt: 5/5 stars for that too
I had an absolute blast in Charlotte! The event was well done - the RGC team was so kind and upbeat even though I'm certain that on day 20 of 23, they were all GRINDING through the 100-degree heat. It was incredible to watch people come up to Erik and talk about how he's changed their lives for the better. That was pretty powerful and moving. I believe that is a testament to the whole team's efforts not just one person. I made some great relationships and will cherish those memories.
One thing I struggled with leaving the event was that I didn't meet anyone local to where I lived and I came to the event alone so I'm not necessarily sure I'll ever see any of those folks again. That isn't a negative it's just a reality of traveling 3 hours to an event solo. I however left inspired by the feeling of Random Golf gave me and plan to continue to advocate for this crew.
Ironically enough I had someone who had commented on one of my stories with a complaint about how he was so excited to meet the RGC crew but was disappointed in the course you selected in Nashville. Here was my response, "This is more about the experience of the group than it is about the golf course. When else are you going to play with roughly 100 strangers at one time?"
